All About You

I have a blog post I've been wanting to do all week, but I have been occupied with html coding. Specifically, wrestling with all of the ins and outs of formatting a book for a Kindle. Several days and numerous attempts later, I have succeeded in creating a working, formatted ebook.

*insert clever drawing of celebration and fireworks* (Shh, you'll have to imagine the drawing is here, because I am too. tired. to actually draw it this evening. Er, this morning. It's actually 12:30AM.)

Thank you for all of your lovely comments on my last couple of blog posts. I'm sorry I haven't replied yet; I am going to try to do that tomorrow. You all are awesome!

I would now like to take the opportunity to learn more about all of you. So, if you'd like to share, I've got a fill-in-the-blank thing below.

1. I love ________.

2. I hate it when ________.

3. If I could do or try anything, it would be __________.

4. Somewhere I've visited is ______ and I thought it was __________.

5. My favorite ________ is _____________.

6. If I woke up on the moon, my first thought would be ___________.

7. If I lived in a city built underwater I would want the job of ____________ because ____________.

8. I believe _____________.

9. If I was stuck in an elevator I would _____________.

10. (Anything else about yourself you might want to share.) _______________

  1. Yay! You've conquered Kindle formatting. I've spent the past few days wrestling with Nook formatting. No success yet.

  4. I love eating a cold Popsicle on a hot summer day

I hate when a good book has to end.

If I could do or try anything, it would be to travel the world

My favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch

If I woke up on the moon my first thought would be, where's the cheese?

If I lived in a city built underwater I would want the job of Ringleader because there would be an awesome mermaid/fish circus.

    I believe in happy endings

If I was stuck in an elevator I would hope I brought a pen so I could write about all the things I love.

I just want to share how much your comment touched me yesterday I really needed the encouragement and you brought me there. Thank you!

  5. Hey, CONGRATS on the formatting thing. That is a massive hurdle. *tosses confetti*

@Connie--did you know you can just upload a word doc for the Nook? I spent days messing with the html file I was going to use for B&N only to discover I could simply tweak my Smashwords doc and use that. Voila!

  6. 1. I love my cat Kimba (named from the anime via my mom).

    2. I hate it when I’m in a car for long periods of time. The reason for this is that I get motion sickness. Migraine headaches, actually.

    3. If I could do or try anything, it would be flying on a Hover Board or with a Jet Pack. I’ve always wanted to fly. If I was a superhero that would be my power.

    4. Somewhere I’ve visited is Cedar Point (I live in Ohio, after all) and I thought it was spectacular. Love Cedar Point! I usually go every summer. I love roller coasters; it really is “America’s Roller Coast”. LOL.

    5. My favorite songs right now are Represent by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Get Around This by SafetySuit. Both have great meanings, but in different ways.

    6. If I woke up on the moon, my first thought would be: “Sweetness! No gravity means I can mimic flying.”

    7. If I lived in a city underwater I would want the job of Cultivator. This is because I’ve always wanted to be in a “Chosen One” story. And you have no idea what I’m talking about, but this has to do with the story I wrote “Love’s Sacrifice”. It’s actually the story I sent you…

    8. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is my Savior.

    9. If I was stuck in an elevator I’d freak out. I hate elevators. They scare me. It doesn’t help that I had to use my high school elevator when I helped out with the Library. That elevator is only used by students that can’t use the stairs (or if you’re trying to get a TV to a classroom on another floor; that was my job). And I swear it hadn’t been inspected in along time. It would also make weird noises and jolt before it moved. Even the Librarians were afraid of it! They would just put the TV (or whatever they needed to transfer) in the elevator and meet it downstairs.

    10. I love writing, but I wouldn’t have had the confidence or desire to pursue it if the lovely Laura hadn’t encouraged me, and betaed for me. Love you lots, Laur. You’ve helped me so much!

And I’m interested in how you’d answer these questions. You should do a follow-up post. LOL.
